C Ronaldo has won his personal duel with Sweden's Zlatan
Ibrahimovic to help Portugal reach the 2014 World Cup.
C Ronaldo, scored his fifth hat-trick of the season in the play-off second leg as Portugal won 3-2 in Solna - despite Ibrahimovic's double - to secure a 4-2 aggregate victory.
C Ronaldo also struck the only goal in the first leg, with those four efforts in the tie prompting a host of former and current players to suggest the ex-Manchester United forward should win this year's Ballon d'Or, which is awarded to the best player in the world.
His latest performance could help his chances of winning the award because Fifa, world football's governing body, extended the voting period from 15 November to 29 November after receiving a response of less that 50% from eligible voters.

The quiet resignation of the brilliant Chief Executive Officer of the fastest growing telecommunications company in the country, Etisalat Nigeria,. Mr. Steven Evans, in September, may not be unconnected with some power play and office politics.
Mr Stev who pleaded anonymity, before Evans’ resignation, each time there was a forum where the CEO was to attend, there was always a representation, which was becoming more regular than expected.
Though Evans had contributed immensely to the growth of the company and by extension telecoms growth in Nigeria, but the power play from the company’s mother country, the United Arab Emirates, did not allow him to operate as he would have loved to.Evans’ tenure had lapsed but he could still come back on board if everything had been right and the environment conducive enough.
It would be recalled that Etisalat through Evans was able to hit over 15 million subscribers mark from zero subscriber.
Report have it that Evans has returned to the United Kingdom after having been chief executive officer at Etisalat Nigeria since December 2008.
Evans joined Etisalat after it started full operations in Nigeria.
Etisalat is Nigeria’s fourth largest mobile operator, with just over 15 million subscribers, according to the Nigerian Communications Commission.
Etisalat Nigeria is a unit of the UAE Emirates Telecommunications Corporation.
Etisalat has not made an official announcement regarding the departure of Evans.
All efforts to reach Etisalat Nigeria’s spokesperson, Ms. Chineze Amanfo, on the phone proved abortive.
Amanfo did not pick her calls.
Meanwhile, Etisalat’s Chief Commercial Officer, Matthew Willsher, has reportedly been appointed as acting chief executive.

Here is another interesting piece by Charly Boy. Enjoy...
The other day I was at the departure hall at Nnamdi Azikewe airport waiting for my flight. I was tucked away at a corner, from people's preying eyes, at least so I thought. My flight was delayed so I had about 2hrs to kill. As I reached into my backpack to get my iPad and keep myself busy till boarding time, a man with two teen girls approached me; they were all beaming with the most enchanting smiles I have ever seen. "Charly these are my daughters, they’ve been worrying me that they want to take pictures with you” I obliged, as their father took position to capture a golden moment for his two teen daughters.
Before anyone could say Charly, the boy in me jumped out. There I was clowning around, making funny faces, as the girls caught the monkeying around bug. And to everyone's entertainment and amusement, we turned the whole departure hall into a photo studio and a runway, hummm! Oh boy come and see. All of a sudden most of the waiting passengers, teens, youths, mums and dads started to lineup for their own Kodak moments. Na who find trouble now?
